Termites cause more than $2 billion in repair cost
for damages each year.

The upstate of South Carolina and western North Carolina
are considered termite "hot zones" with higher
infestation levels than most other areas in the U.S.

Unfortunately, most homeowners do not consider
termite protection on their homes prior
to experiencing an infestation.

A Termite Protection Policy is just as important as your homeowner’s policy. In fact, most homeowner’s policies DO NOT include coverage for termite treatments or the damage caused by termite activity. The methods for controlling termites have changed dramatically over the last 20 years. The Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) has set stricter guidelines for use of termiticides that has propelled the industry forward and newer baiting systems have been developed that help to eliminate termite colonies. These advances in technology have now given professional pest control companies the ability to effectively eliminate termites rather than simply creating a chemical barrier around your home.

Most pest control companies use weaker and less effective methods to treat your home for termites. This way it cuts down their cost while creating larger profits for their company as well as insuring the need to re-treat your home thus costing you more money.

At Patriot Pest Management we use the best materials to insure an effective elimination of termite colonies on your land. We specialize in the use of Advance Termite Baiting System and Termidor, the leading liquid termiticide (*See links on home page.) Both of these methods are very effective against the elimination of termites around your home. Patriot Pest Management makes use of these two systems.

Advance Termite Baiting System

The Advance Termite Baiting System targets the “worker” termites which constantly gather food for the colony. These worker termites feed on bait cartridges located in ground stations around the home. They share the bait with other members of the colony eventually destroying them completely. Once the colony ceases the baiting system acts as a security field which continually monitors any further activity and stops any future termite attacks. This system is one of the best ways to insure total safety for you, your family, your home, and the environment. Our trained staff monitors these stations and provides you with a detailed report of their findings.

Termidor Liquid Termiticide

We also use Termidor, a liquid based termiticide which is applied to the soil around the foundation of your home, including walls, piers, under slabs (by drilling), in voids, etc. Termidor is a non-repellent termiticide which provides the quickest solution to a termite infestation. It’s nonrepellent feature is important to the treatment of termites in that they are not aware of its effect on the colony. Any termites which come into contact with the substance carry it back to the colony where it is transferred to the other members during their “grooming” process. As it spreads it effectively reduces the colony down to 0.

Patriot Pest Management will make you aware of all state requirements for termiticide usage and ensure proper application as required under the product’s labeling.

We use both treatments when dealing with active termite colonies. Using both methods ensures the best short-term treatment and long-term control for elimination of termites. With Termidor you’ll see results immediately and continue to see the complete destruction of the colony within 90 days. Also, with the Advance Baiting System in place you’ll never have to pay to re-treat your home again as long as you continue the annual renewable contract.

The Patriot Difference

Most pest control companies use single treatment solutions which require you to re-treat the exterior of your home with Termidor after several years. The need for these “booster” treatments is due to the breakdown of liquid termiticides over time due to excessive rain, soil movement, foundation settling, etc. Unfortunately, this can cost you thousands and thousands of dollars over the course of you owning your home. With the use of the Advance Termite Baiting System which provides a long-term defense against termite activity and Termidor, a fast working liquid, Patriot Pest Management does not require this re-treatment as long as you own your home. This saves you time and money!

Treatment Options

When choosing a pest control company to protect your greatest investment – your home, there should be several factors to consider. You should first review the contract closely to insure that the company will stand behind their guarantee, including repairing any damage caused by termites. Ensure that the contract can be transferred upon the sale of your home an be certain that the company maintains a good record with the Department of Pesticide Regulation in your state. Patriot Pest Management meets and exceeds all of these qualifications.

We offer three options for termite treatment. Each of these requires a contractual agreement which provides you with complete termite solutions.

I. Option One -

The first option makes use of the Advance Termite Baiting System to protect against and provide damage repair coverage for both the Eastern Subterranean Termites (the most common of all termite species) and the Formosan Termites which, although not as common in South Carolina, have been documented along the coastal regions and in York County (Rock Hill, SC), along with Rutherford County in North Carolina. So, if and when they become a threat to your home you will be covered. This contract is transferable to the new owner upon the sale of your property (at the discretion of Patriot Pest Management) and does not require a “booster” treatment.

II. Option Two

This option provides for the use of Termidor only. This contract also covers against Eastern Subterranean Termites. It does not require “booster” treatments upon sale of your property.

III. Option Three

This option provides for service of existing infestations only. This contract does not offer damage repairs if the below conditions exist. These conditions are: 1) Extensive damage due to existing problems at time of treatment, or 2) Circumstances that prevent proper treatment of your property. This contract covers re-treatment only.

In Conclusion

The cost of termite treatments can be expensive. Some companies offer good products but lousy service, or sub-standard products and minimal service. Mostly you get what you pay for in companies providing a cheap service. Always compare the guarantee along with the price for service. Remember, it’s the service you buy, not the product! Not all companies or treatments are the same. So, why chance a future problem with cheap insurance?
